DAHI VADA


INGREDIENTS-

- Soaked Urad daal (3-4hrs).

- 1 big bowl curd.

- Chopped coriander leaves.

- 1/4th tablespoon chaat masala.

- 1/4th tablespoon red chilly powder.

- 1/4th tablespoon dry roasted cumin powder.

- 1 pinch baking soda.

- salt according to taste.

- 2 big tablespoon salt.

- white oil to fry.

METHOD-

- Blend the soaked urad daal and make it a smooth paste.

- Take out the urad daal paste in a bowl.

- Add baking soda, salt and mix thoroughly.

- Heat a pan and add oil to it.

- Take 1 spoon of batter and put it into the oil.

- Fry both sides till golden brown.

- Take some water in a big bowl and put all the vadas into it.

- Rest it for 5 minutes.

- Take the curd bowl and add the coriander leaves, red chilly powder, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, pinch of salt and sugar.

- Mix them properly.

- Let it cool in refrigerator for few minutes.

- Press and take out all the vadas gently from the water.

- Add all the soft vadas into the mixed spicy curd.

- Allow it to rest for 15-20 minutes.

- Serve cold and enjoy the taste.

SUGGESTIONS-

- Make a very smooth paste of urad daal.

- Continuously mix the batter for 5 minutes for better results.

- Put a little batter in a small bowl of water, if it floats it is ready to fry.

- Fry the vadas in a low flame.

- Gently press the water from the vadas or it may beak.

- rest the dahi vadas in refrigerator for better taste.

- Garnish the daha vadas with bhujias and imli sauce.
